Eranthis
Along with Snowdrops, Eranthis are one of the earliest bulbs to bloom, emerging in the gloom of early February. The flowers themselves resemble Buttercups but have a green collar at the base of the flower.
The tubers are rather small and will benefit from a 24 hour soak before planting.
Plant 5cm deep 8cm apart 150 per sq metre.
